Factory reset xi6 box?

Xfinity sent me a flex box as part of a renewal and it's horrible.  I want to return it, but I want to factory reset it first so it forgets my wifi information, account, etc.  I'm not immediately finding an option to factory reset it.  Has anyone found one?

Does it have a pin-hole somewhere where you can fit a paper clip in and hold a receded button down?

Sorry, with the Xi6 it’s a series of remote button pushes and I used to know it. But the flex is a totally different device and remote. If I come across it I’ll pass it on. There’s no pinhole, it’s not a modem

I need to reset it, because we changed our WiFi network name.  I don't think even Comcast/Xfinity know how to reset it, because this answer is nowhere on the internet.  Maybe I should peal stuff off the bottom to try and find a pinhole...

There is no pinhole to reset it.  Devices get reset (cleaned) when they are sent back to the warehouse after being returned.  You should be able to select a new Wifi network name from network settings in the settings menu.   Or if you try rebooting the device, you should be prompted to select a wifi network to connect to.

When you are ready to return the Flex box, we have made the process a bit easier for you despite the closing of many businesses and the many stay-at-home orders we all must abide by. Here: https://comca.st/3sBoWAY are the steps to initiate a return of your equipment. We have an awesome partnership with UPS and will take care of the postage for you!

You can schedule an at-home pickup by initiating the equipment return at the Digital Returns Center, printing the UPS return label, boxing up the equipment and then calling 1-800-PICK-UPS to schedule the pickup. You will need the tracking number from the UPS return label to schedule the pickup. You are also able to take back the box to a local service center (https://comca.st/3sr9ZkK) to return as well. I am sorry you did not enjoy our Flex services and hope that you do try again in the future.
