Comcast/Infinity is deceiving customers when they say an ios device can stream/cast to Xfinity
As I am able to cast from my android phone to my Xfinity box without problems, its obvious that I have the necessary equipment to cast/stream. However, I am unable to cast from my iPhone to the Xfinity box. This can only mean it is a software-related issue that can be easily corrected by Comcast/Xfinity, but Comcast/Xfinity choses not to provide the necessary software updates.
Moreover, Comcast/Xfinity keeps its own employees in the dark about the real reason ios to Xfinity streaming/casting is not functional. This results in hours of frustrating, fruitless tech support chats that are a total waste of time for customers.
Comcast/Xfinity, my time is very valuable too. Please provide the necessary software updates on your side to make streaming/casting from ios to Xfinity as effortless as it is with an android device. In the meantime, please do not waste customers’ time by implying this capability is available to customers.

Hi there, @user_76370d
I appreciate you taking time to let us know the issues you are experiencing with your iPhone when attempting to cast and connect to your cable box. I know it is important to be able to connect to your device how you want. For iOS 14+ users, you need to allow the app access to your local network in order to cast to your cable box. To do so, you will want to follow these steps on your mobile device:
Can you try this out to see if this helps correct the casting issue you are experiencing with your iPhone? Look forward to hearing back from you!
