Jan 22 2023 Same issue. New to Flex and fairly happy. Not being able to arrange and/or remove the apps that show up on my FLEX home screen is very inconvenient. Is not as intuitive as one would hope. Also, agree with comments on a similar forum topic that ROKU does this very well and this should be a basic capability.
It also is an issue with adding apps. I subscribe to Showtime and have to go through several steps to get there rather than just clicking on the Showtime icon. Agree with others that Roku has been doing this in a simple, user friendly way for years. If Xfinity has some agreement with these services to have them plastered on their Home Screen there should be two levels of apps showing. One with the required apps that are forced on us and another level below it with apps added by the user. While this could be a workaround it is not the best solution from the consumers point of view.
Thank you so much for your feedback @Wasmurray . The best way to get this added would be to leave us feedback on the link posted earlier by the previous user. This feedback helps a great deal as most of our changes are from ideas from our customers.
@user_466d6f2 If you want a customizable streaming device, get a Roku. The Flex is not flexible! I think of it as a streaming box for dummies. Xfinity should know that most people on internet only plans are cord cutters. They're already very familiar with streaming tv's, devices and their customizability.
The Flex device is nothing more than a glorified cable box that runs over WiFi. And similar to their X1 cable boxes, they control/decide which apps are available to you.
Hello, @user_466d6f2. We very much appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your experience, knowledge, feedback, and suggestions. It is vital to our team in order to help us improve not only our products and services but the customer experience as well.
