You're Doing It AGAIN
I've posted about here at least twice before, and it would stop. But this time it appears to not be stopping. The "it" I'm talking about is the constant harassment to provide you with a mobile number every time I log in. If you people are so stupid that you want to lose an easy, auto-pay account over your petty demand for a mobile number, then so be it. I'll leave after 20 years. But it stops by Friday close of business or I'm cancelling Comcast. I am sick and tired of this. I don't have a mobile phone, I've NEVER had a mobile phone, and I NEVER will have one. If that's not okay with you and you'd rather lose business over such a stupid thing, be my guest because I am done with it. Stop asking me for a mobile number that I don't have every time I log in or lose the account.
It's your choice.

No one is picking on you. This is a sign in box that we ALL get from time to time. Nearly every time I sign in I get that box, and I'm not giving out my phone number, unlike you who doesn't have a cell phone. I just click through and go on about my day. Depending on how your browser is set up, keeping cookies and cache, it will disappear for a time, and then reappear.
Here's how it works for me: I bring up the Forums page and am "greeted" with the annoying box upon sign in. I click past the mobile number bit and agree to the email recovery. I do what I need to do here, and then move on to other things on the internet. I come back to the Forums to check on things and I don't have to sign in, unless it's been quite a while and then I might have to sign in again, but I don't get the pop-up box to do so. And then, when I'm done for the time being, I close my browser. Next time I bring up my browser and come to the Forums, I have to sign in again with that wonderful < place sarcasm here > box and go through the motions yet again. Mind you, I have not turned off my laptop, just closed my browser. So, this is my experience.
No one is picking on just you, believe me.

Just responding to see if I need 2FA to make a response.
It seems strange to need that for a forum, but for logging into email, your account, etc. then it's probably a good, if annoying, thing.
