Yahoo Mail error message No Internet Connection

I have an issue with Yahoo Mail. I keep getting a message that there is no internet connection

but the internet is just fine. Yahoo Support told me they think it is an Xfinity issue. Any suggestions?

I have a NEW computer.  I get 400mps downloads and still I have problems with just Yahoo and Yahoo mail.

It goto Yahoo and it takes 10 secs, on both Chrome and Edge.  All other sites 1 sec.

Sucks that they wouldn't comment or help fix.  There are MANY people having the same issue.  They can't say it is us, it is error on their end.

Doesn't Xfinity read any of this?  Months people have complained and nothing.

Same issue here.  I just got Xfinity in mid-February and the issue with Yahoo mail just started around April 10.  Today I tried closing the tab and opening a new one, but after clicking on "mail" from the main Yahoo page, it did nothing (but show progress indicator on tab) for a couple of minutes.  So i clicked "news" then clicked "mail" from the banner near the top of the news page and voila, it worked.

It's ridiculous that we have to find workarounds for this.  Rebooting the router is also a poor solution to force on users for an Xfinity issue.

UPDATE -- ONE HOUR LATER -- the issue back and no fancy tricks like I mentioned above will work.  Come on Xfinity.

I am also having this same horrible problem with Yahoo on Xfinity that started the same day (April 10, 2021) right after the Windows 10 update. Something is seriously wrong with the combination of Yahoo and Xfinity service. Just to be clear, the message No Internet Connection appears when I try to log in to my Yahoo account (email or plain Yahoo), and then it will say Loading Email and then it times out.

This is a Severity 1 problem. It's is going to make me switch out of Xfinity TV/Internet if it isn't fixed. It has to be some simple bug. It must be fixed! Thanks.

Hello user_0b477e, thank you for reaching out here with this concern. It sounds like there may be an issue with the credentials and how they're reading when you login on the Yahoo platform. Does this error come up when you navigate to any other sites or when you use another device to open the same mail account?

I no longer work for Comcast.

I would like help also.  This only happens at mail.yahoo.com with me.  yahoo.com is fine.  All other sites are fine.

I am having the same exact issue with Yahoo and Yahoo Mail. However, for me it does not seem to be Xfinity related, because all my computers work fine on my xfinity gateway EXCEPT , my Dell laptop. I have tried everything I have read online and nothing has resolved the issue.

Any fixes yet???  I'm having same problem.  Win 10, Chrome and any other browser, xfinity wifi.  Every time I go to Yahoo, the page partially loads then after about 30 seconds i get the error that it cant load the page.  When i finally get on and i'm trying to email I get the "No internet Connection" message.  If I switch to another tab which has maybe Facebook on it, I will have an internet connection. Switch back to the Yahoo tab, the "No internet Connection" is still there and Yahoo is not working. That alone tells us that it is a Yahoo/xfinity issue. Works fine on my cell phone when using the Cell service but if my cell is connected to my xfinity wifi, Yahoo stalls out

It's 2021 and we're having issues with EMAIL?!?!

Add me to the list. Please provide a resolution Xfinity, as this seems to be a widespread issue.

Thank you.

I would like help with this also... it has been going on about 8 months.  I also have a computer less than one year old.  It was fine when I got the computer, and maybe at the end of 2020 it started happening.  I've used chrome and edge.... happens on both.  mail.yahoo.com is where I try to go.  I have to refresh about 30 times a day because the connection drops... only with mail... all other connections I have are fine.  PLEASE HELP...this is affecting my business.

You can add me to the list. Whether it's comcast or Yahoo, both are going to suffer the loss of users because both seem to prefer finger pointing the resolving the issue. I've had this problem for months and now I can barely open any mail before it has no internet connection. I should have dumped yahoo a long time ago!!

Add me to the list also. I still get big delays logging into yahoo with Xfinity high-level speed service. This has been going on for over 6 months now. It's just as described here ("No Internet Connection" messages, timing out, etc.). And I moved and kept Xfinity, and the problem followed me!

I have had some luck using yahoo mail via the Windows mail client, but still it is annoying because the features of using Yahoo Mail (and other services like Yahoo Finance) are basically useless now.

I may be paranoid but I bet there is some argument between Comcast and Verizon (who owns Yahoo for now).

Here is a message from Firefox trying to login to Yahoo Finance just now:

Secure connection failed and Firefox did not connect

Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I can definitely understand the frustration if you aren't able to access email. Have you already attempted to click the hyperlink to troubleshoot and fix error messages? If you have a firewall set up you may also want to check those settings to make sure that Yahoo isn't somehow blocked in your firewall.

Hello.  Add me to the list of people having this issue.  I get constant messages about "No internet connection" when trying to reach mail.yahoo.com.  This occurs with both the Firefox and Edge browsers.  No issues on my cell phone with the same mail account.  Please help.

Hello, I hate to break it to the group but I'm having the same issue & I'm not always using Xfinity. This happens in my office, which does not use xfinity, while going through my email & at times writing an email an "you are offline" message pops up when I know my computer is still online. I have troubleshooted the internet issue & it always come back that I am in fact online. It seems to be a yahoo issue???

I have Xfinity service and run the Firefox browser with Gmail, Yahoo mail and Xfinity mail tabs simultaneously, and have what might be a clue.  When the "no internet connection" comes up on all three mail services, and after first closing the Yahoo and Gmail tabs, I've noticed on many occasions I get "a site is slowing down the page" message on the Xfinity page, which would be a sidebar advertisement.  When I "stop loading the page", the internet connections resume for all three mail services.  Will have to pay closer attention to this.

For the record, once again remedied the Yahoo "no internet connection" by "stop loading page" on Xfinity mail.  Apparently some sidebar ads on Xfinity are the problem, at least on my machine.

10/19 resolved Gmail "not connected" by clicking "hide ad" on Xfinity email page

This has started with me today as well.  Suddenly,  while in email with my attorney, I get the message that others have as well, No Internet Connection.  I am using Yahoo Mail in the browser and have not had such an issue previously in any browsers.  This is very annoying.  It works well on my phone.  All other webpages are loading just fine.  Yahoo Mail is not down.  This has to do with my Xfinity service.  How can this problem still be happening without a fix?  I have been an Xfinity customer for years, but I can not have this happening.

@Dale1956 Thank you for your comment. I would like to send a report up to see if this is occurring on our end or Yahoo's end. Can I get you to go to the Direct Messaging via the icon in the upper-right and compose a new message to "Xfinity Support" with your name and address, please? Thank you!

@XfinityTony since my Yahoo and Gmail connections go off at the same times, for the same durations, I'm going to suggest it is on Xfinity's side, solely.
