Yahoo Mail error message No Internet Connection

I have an issue with Yahoo Mail. I keep getting a message that there is no internet connection

but the internet is just fine. Yahoo Support told me they think it is an Xfinity issue. Any suggestions?

@rchubbard, thanks for taking the time to reach out to us regarding your connectivity issues when attempting to access your email. I get a lot of communication through email and I would find this error truly frustrating. I would love to get to the bottom of this with you. Can you please reach out through private message (find out how to do so with this link https://comca.st/2O9HjwH) with your first and last name, name on the account if different and service address?

Hi, @bigships! Thanks for spending your time to reach out to Comcast over our forums page for help with the Yahoo concern. We definitely understand the importance of getting this working correctly as quickly as possible and the inconvenience this can cause. I always get frustrated when I experience issues when connecting to my home WiFi. We can help! To get started, please click on my handle “ComcastGabe” and send us a private message with your first/last name and full address so we can research this further.

I have tried to send a private message as I have the very same yahoo problem - when I do, it keeps trying to send an email, not a private message.  Please give clearer directions on how to private message.

Hi Gabe,

I sent you a PM.

For the benefit of others:  I indicated that given the number of people experiencing this, it appears not to be an issue with us, but rather with the xfinity infrastructure.  Or perhaps Yahoo blocking xfinity traffic, but that seems unlikely.  I offered Gabe my assistance to troubleshoot, but I think any resolution would need to include xfinity engineers examining their systems.

We appreciate your feedback and willingness to troubleshoot with us, @bigships! I agree with issues like this, sometimes we may need to have our engineers step in to assist us in finding a resolution. A member of our team will be replying to your private message so we can begin to investigate. Thank you for your help!

I would be happy to help with the resolution to this problem on my PC.  My computer operating system is Windows 10, browers is Chrome and my system is protected by Malwarebytes and Windows Defender.  Please let me know how I can help or if Comcast needs access to my computer

I'm still having this problem (and have verified that it only happens on my laptop when using Xfinity/Comcast Internet). Has anyone come across a resolution? My Xfinity contract is up in two months, and if this cannot be resolved, I may move to TING.

One work around is to use Window Mail with your Yahoo address.

Thanks, but we shouldn't have to do this.  I have a window 8 laptop and an iPhone - neither have this problem but my windows 10 desktop PC does. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a windows 10 problem and not a comcast issue.

It's very strange because I get the "No Internet Connection" every day at EXACTLY 3:00 PM EST.

As you have pointed out, all other internet connections remain working fine. Just Yahoo Mail stops working.

I clear my cookies for "yahoo" and then I can login again. Then I'm good until 3:00 PM the next day.

Add me to the list.

Using the latest versions of Thunderbird and Outlook, I get SERVER ERROR when I try to log in.

The same issue happens on two Xfinity accounts using two different PCs. (both latest Win10)

iPhone mail works fine.

The exact error here is: "SENDING OF PASSWORD FOR (my email address) DID NOT SUCCEED. MAIL SERVER pop.mail.yahoo.com RESPONDED: SERVER ERROR - PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER."

I've been waiting for this to be resolved since 2/8/2021 and I confirmed I do have new emails on the account by visiting yahoo webmail.

I've also tried deleting the account and re-adding it, bit that fails when validating the password (which works on yahoo webmail and on the iPhone so I know it's right).

Question for this group. Are you using the standard or Pro version of Yahoo?  I'm not sure if the Pro version is the culprit.

That happened to me on my iPhone a couple of months ago.  I finally resolved it (after numerous calls and email).

Do the following:

Go to settings -> mail

select your email account

then select "Delete Account" (I know it sounds omonous but just do it)

now "Add Account" selecting your email provider (mine is Yahoo)

enter your same old email address

under "Outgoing Mail Server" select "Yahoo! SMTP Server"

under "Primary Server" set Yahoo! SMTP Server and "Server" on

back one level

got to "Other SMTP Servers" and set them to "smtp.mail.xxx.xxx" (your mail service)

select the "other server" you just created and set your password and other info

select "Done"

your password will be validated and your email account should now be restored.

I have no problem with using Yahoo Mail with Windows 10 Email Account. Your comments are related to the OS software. The problem the group is having is getting a stable Yahoo Mail on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and other similar platforms.  This issue is still not resolved.

PLEASE HELP XFINITY/COMCAST
