Yahoo email

Not all of my email data migrated. I had created email lists/groups and none of them made. I lost treasured saved emails that did not transfer over. And why was it a good idea to spring this on us? It seems comcast is more concerned with saving money than keeping customers comfortable. This move is a disaster.

Thank you for your feedback and joining us here on the Xfinity Forums, Reliford. I completely understand how important your email is. Especially when it holds your conversations, contacts, and personal information. I want to reassure you that you’ve come to the right place for support.
Beginning in June 2025, customers with a comcast.net email address will be invited to upgrade their email to Yahoo Mail at no additional cost. While the platform is changing, your comcast.net email address will stay the same, and so will your messages, folders, and contacts, so you won’t lose the information you rely on.
This move is designed to give you a smoother, more secure email experience. With Yahoo Mail, you’ll have access to several helpful features, including:

Enhanced security to better protect your account
An easy-to-use built-in calendar
A highly rated mobile app to stay connected wherever you are
Smart, AI-powered inbox organization to help manage your email more efficiently

Almost everything will transfer automatically, with just a few important exceptions to be aware of:

Emails with attachments larger than 25 MB or in an unsupported format won’t move automatically. These will remain in a separate folder in your Xfinity Email inbox, and you’ll have 30 days to download them.
Up to 4,100 folders can be moved. Any folders beyond that limit will be combined into a single folder.
Folder names longer than 240 characters will transfer but will be shortened automatically.
Up to 10,000 contacts can be moved.
Any user-created folders that share names with Yahoo system folders (such as Sent or Drafts) will be renamed in Yahoo Mail to avoid conflicts.

I know changes like this can feel overwhelming, especially when it involves something as essential as email. If you have questions or need help at any step, we’re here to support you and make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
