Will I recieve a notification *BY EMAIL* when it is time for me to migrate my Comcast.net email to Yahoo?

The Xfinity information page about the transition uses phrases such as "you’ll see a prompt to accept Yahoo’s terms of service."  Does "you'll see" specifically mean I will receive *an email* prompting me to accept the terms of service?

Or is there an expectation that I will see that prompt when I log into current Xfinity email website, or another Xfinity web portal or app?  Understanding this would be very important to me because I normally access my Comcast.net email via Outlook, which means I don't even see the Xfinity email site.  (I check once in awhile for email that's gone to spam, but that happens very infrequently.)

Bottom line, please answer the question in the subject line.  Thanks.

You don't need an email. Instead, log in to https://xfinityconnect.email.comcast.net/emailMigration. If the account you logged in with is ready to be migrated, that page will say:

You're invited to upgrade your email account to Yahoo Mail ...

If the ID has already been migrated, the page will say:

Your Comcast.net email account is accessible at Yahoo Mail ...

Thank you. How about the second question--Is there any way to find out when the official prompt will come?

English53 I completely understand why you’d want a little more certainty around the timing, especially when your inbox is already running so close to full. It’s absolutely reasonable to want to plan ahead.

At this time, there isn’t a way to check or request the exact date your migration invitation will arrive. The prompts are being sent out in phases, and each account receives the official email once it’s eligible to begin the move. I know that waiting without a timeline can feel frustrating, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience that creates.

If you’d like to keep an eye on general updates, Xfinity has a public page with details about the email transition here: Upgrade your comcast.net email

Do you have any other questions or concerns I can help you with today?
