Advertising is a significant portion of the revenue stream for Comcast, and any other ISP I know of. Without that revenue you might not be able to afford the internet service. You do have some control over what kinds of ads you might see though------------
Scroll down to "Allow banner ads in your inbox" and move the slider to "Off"
The change typically takes several minutes, and you may need to reload the webmail page, or even log out and log back in again.

To be sure we are on the seam page, are you seeing adds on your home page, when you got to the Xifnity website, or are you randomly seeing adds regardless on what webpage you are looking at?
