Why emails from Google Groups not getting to comcast

I belong to 3 groups that use Google Groups for emails. I suddenly stopped getting their emails in my Xfinity account about 3 weeks ago, and missed some deadlines. I have been on these groups for over 2 years with no issues. Then the emails stopped arriving. They are not in my Spam folder. I have no rules pertaining to their email. What can I do to start receiving their emails again?

Thanks

We want to make sure you are receiving all your emails that you need especially those for these groups! Here are a few things to check:

  • If you're using another program or website to get your email, make sure it's not set to delete your email messages from the server automatically.
  • There's a limit on the size of email messages.
    • If someone tries to send large videos or photos, you may not get them.
    • Our servers support messages up to 25 MB.
  • Check your spam settings.
    • You can customize them to deliver it to a spam folder.
  • While you're in Mail Settings, make sure you haven't turned on email forwarding.
  • If you're missing a particular message, you can search your Inbox.

Also, how are you accessing your email? Are the emails missing when you check through an email app or the Xfinity Connect site, or both?

Google Groups closed down several months ago.  The groups are still out there, though, but you'll need a reader of some sorts in order to get them.  This is the one I use.

Again,

I did some searching and have not found where Google Groups has closed down.

In fact, I found a website that explains Google Groups and how to use them. This was written as recently as May, 2025.

There was a question posed to me previously that I answered but not see in this thread:

I do not see my emails on the Xfinity website nor in my Windows 10 Outlook app.

I received this in my email.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
  [Edited: "Personal Information"]
    host mx1.mxge.comcast.net [96.103.145.162]
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
550 5.2.0 YnevuTnLceNyqYnewu3c2q Message rejected due to DMARC. Please see https://postmaster.comcast.net/smtp-error-codes.php#DM000001
<end>
Could this be why I am not getting the emails from my 3 other clubs?

I seriously doubt it.

From Wiki:

On December 15, 2023, Google announced that Google Groups would end support posting or viewing new Usenet content on February 22, 2024, with existing archives remaining available.

I was involved with several groups and had to find a free newsgroup reader in order to keep being involved.

Again, read the message. Google Groups will stop supporting Usenet content. Google Groups is not going away.

What you may have been using was Usenet, so you needed a new reader.

Sorry, but I was accessing Google Groups and there was a very long discussion in one of my groups about Google closing down Usenet - yes, Usenet.  I WAS accessing my groups using Firefox, NOT a news reader.  FWIW, I remember Usenet long before Google took it over, and I remember Google taking it over.  Your groups were Usenet, but now you have to have a news reader in order to access them.

I don't know how many articles I need to post to you to show that you won't get those emails.
