Why do my Comcast emails show up as “Comcast email” to all recipients instead of my name?

Every email that I send shows up on the other end as from “Comcast email” instead of my name. The end result is that people are ignoring my emails! How do I correct this?

I’m sending it from my Comcast account, and it doesn’t matter if it’s received in a Comcast account or an outlook account.

I checked it and it is already setup as my email address. I changed it to my name and saved it. I sent test emails to my work email and it looks correct. I’m going to send emails to my wife’s account and see what it shows.

Thanks for the reply, I’ll see if it changes anything.

Go to your Inbox and open a Compose page for a new email.  At the right end of the "From" field you should see a small arrowhead.  Click on that and then near the bottom of that window click on "Edit names".  That will show you another window in which you can change the outgoing name to anything you want.  Make the change and then click on "Save".

I sent a test email to my wife’s email account and she reports that it still shows as “Comcast email”. I’m stumped!

I still have the same problem sending from my iphone.  Has anyone figured out how to stop this?

Same problem for YEARS and Comcast has not supplied a solution.   My Name is definitely displayed accurately in account user settings.

Same here and it just started about 10 days ago. Up until now, it's been fine and I haven't changed any settings.
