Why can't i send an email to myself

I have tried to send a test email to myself from my comcast email to my comcast email to no avail.

I have also tried to forward an email from another sender to my comcast email to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you accessing your email? Are you accessing it directly through webmail, or are you using an app or email client?

Try logging directly into your email at https://connect.xfinity.com/ , and see if the emails are there. If they are, that probably means you don't have your Mac mail set up correctly.

Thanks rightfooted. I logged into my xfinity account online and went to the email client. I composed a simple message and sent it. The message never arrived either in my inbox online, nor in my Mac mail app on my Mac.

@signcarver it looks like our experts have been giving you some great troubleshooting advice! Can you confirm if you've been sending it to a .net or .com email account? Also, have you checked your spam or junk folders? Are you having issues with receiving any other emails?

Also, if I send an email from my Gmail address to my Comcast email address that works fine. It’s when I send an email from my Comcast email address to my Comcast email address

Thank you for that verification. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service so I can troubleshoot further. 

 

To send a direct message [private message]:

   Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://comca.st/3A8ixTa

   Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

   The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

   Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it
