Why am I receiving duplicate emails?

Over the past few days, I've been receiving duplicate emails from a sender at the exact same time. I noticed it with an online magazine newsletter that I've been receiving for years and then today on an email from a talent recruiter that I've just started interacting with.

What is causing this issue?
