Webmail using Chrome as a browser - where did the folders go?

Suddenly today my email layout has changed when still using Chrome and my browser. Not I can find find the folders where they use to be on the left side. I saw an earlier answer to go to bottom of screen and make sure hide folders is not turned on. Unfortunately I can not find that option anywhere. Now if I read my email using Edge I see the folders like I use to. 

Please advise  how to correct this. Chrome is my perferred browser. thanks for your help.
