Valid Needed Emails Bounced by DMARC Policy (Additional Info for Ticket #[Edited: "Personal Information"])
E-mails coming from my [Edited: "Personal Information"] account and forwarded to [Edited: "Personal Information"] account are being bounced away when the message originates from the State of Florida’s filing portal at [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Below if the response I received from POBox.com indicating the problem is on your end. Please let me know if this can be resolved. Thank you.

Hello Peter,
I have searched our logs to trace these messages. Please see below for the results (all timestamps are in Eastern Time).
Searching for messages sent from [Edited: "Personal Information"] to [Edited: "Personal Information"] on April 28th gives the following results:

I then continued tracing the first result (Queued as A82CB61D65A) specifically and got to the following:
Apr 28 11:00:26 pb-mx23 postfix-qmgr[15957]: [ID 197553 mail.info] AB4C539E7C: from=<SRS0=u/XV=VG=myflcourtaccess.com= [Edited: "Personal Information"]ox.com>, size=300490, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

Please see http://postmaster.comcast.net/smtp-error-codes.php#DM000001 (in reply to end of DATA command))
Apr 28 11:00:28 pb-mx23 postfix-bounce[63223]: [ID 197553 mail.info] AB4C539E7C: sender non-delivery notification: 2229339E99
Our logs suggest that this message was successfully received by Pobox, then forwarded to the forwarding address set for [Edited: "Personal Information"]. The forwarding address is a Comcast address ( [Edited: "Personal Information"]). From there, the message was bounced with this error:
host mx2c1.comcast.net[96.102.18.149] said: 550 5.2.0 k5d4n845z3vVXk5d5nQl1g Message rejected due to DMARC. Please see http://postmaster.comcast.net/smtp-error-codes.php#DM000001 (in reply to end of DATA command)
Looking at error code DM000001, it seems that the bounce occurred because of the sender having a strict DMARC policy. This bounce indicates that Comcast is rejecting the messages after we try to forward them because this sender has set up their domain in a way that makes their mail look suspect to receiving servers when forwarded.
Unfortunately, this makes it not possible to forward their mail through Pobox to a receiving server with particularly sensitive spam controls—such as Comcast.
There are a few options we can use to make it possible to receive mail from this sender.
The first is to ask that this sender send their mail directly to your Comcast address, instead of via your Pobox address.
The second strategy we can use is to add a different forwarding address, which is not hosted by Comcast, for your Pobox account. Another receiving mail provider may be able to accept this mail. I'm afraid I can't guarantee this, though.
If this is the preferred way forward, please use our addresses page here to edit the forwarding address(es).
One final approach available is to contact the sender directly, and ask that they change the way their domain is set up to more readily allow forwarding. If this last option is the one of choice, please contact the sender directly and let them know that Comcast cannot accept their forwarded messages due to their DMARC policy.
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
Regards,
Leslie
