Using Outlook with VPN

I can't send emails with my VPN on using Outlook.  Everything looks good, email goes to sent items, however it is not sent, and there are no error messages.  If I turn the VPN off it works fine.  Is there a fix/workaround for this?

Hello, @dsj69. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues sending email while using Outlook. Have you by any chance recently updated the email settings? If not, please see if you can change the email from Pop3 to IMAP. Please let me know if the issue persist after doing so.

No changes to outlook or email settings.  Only change was addition of VPN.  I put a tunnel in the VPN for Outlook so it is now working but it is not my preferred solution.  email is currently IMAP.

It appears that comcast is blocking the VPN for incoming mail.

VPN's have lots of legitimate uses, but they are also a magnet for spammers and scammers whose activities "poison" the VPN's IPs. Sending email using a VPN is likely to always be iffy.
