Unread e-mails not visible in inbox

Comcast unread e-mails are somewhere as the "number" is indicated next to "Inbox".  If I move all inbox messages to Drafts folder, they show up.  This has happened on my mobile Xfinity app on occasion, but only intermittently.  Please help

That is the app I use on my phone (working fine right now, but has had the problem intermittantly in the past).  I just can't get unread mail to show up in my inbox on my PC directly from Xfinity.

If you are using the webmail interface, do you have the "Sort by" set to Conversations view?  If so, uncheck it and see if the unread appear in date order.

Thanks, but Conversations has not been checked.  I have a lot of old "read" emails and wonder if that is the problem.
