Unblocking outbound port 25 for use of smtp server

Hello,

I'm hoping that someone can help me in requesting that outbound requests on port 25 be unblocked for my account.  I tried calling in, but the representative didn't seem to understand the request and ended up transferring me to Google's support line without even letting me know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

@user_c8va59 Email is used for important communications and Comcast wants to ensure that these communications are as secure and as private as possible. As such, Comcast does not support port 25 for the transmission of email by our residential Internet customers. Much of the current use of port 25 is by computers that have been infected by malware and are sending spam without the knowledge of the users of those computers. There isn't a way to unblock it for a specific account, and you would need to use another more secure port like port 587.
