Unblock Port 25

Topic marked as email although this isn't about Comcast email.

@XfinityCSAEmail you seem to be the goto person on this matter.  Much like the others who have posted here, I had my time wasted by two different people today trying to get port 25 unblocked for both IPv4 and IPv6 in both directions.  Finally I was disconnected while on hold.

Yes, I am aware of the risks, I take full responsibility, and I do not use Comcast's email.  I run my own email server in the cloud.

I appreciate any assistance that you can provide.

Hi, @SysLANDan. Thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. As listed here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/list-of-blocked-ports, we do have these ports blocked for security purposes. I don't have the option to remove this block on my end to be fully upfront. We can await the follow-up from Customer Security Assurance to see if they have another path, but I haven't seen this done yet to be fully upfront.

@XfinityVianney hi.  If you read https://corporate.comcast.com/comcast-voices/updated-management-of-smtp-port-25, you'll see that "Upon request to our Customer Security Assurance team this block can be removed, enabling access to use port 25".

I am trying to accomplish this simple thing based upon a posting by Comcast.  Problem is, the customer service reps don't seem to have any idea of how to act on this request.

The entire sentence is: "Upon request to our Customer Security Assurance team this block can be removed, enabling access to use port 25 for other email domains, though the comcast.net email servers will no longer accept submission via port 25."

When you are going to quote something, please quote it in its entirety, otherwise use three dots [...] to signify the sentence continues.  Just an FYI.  😉

@XfinityAngie  Here is that link again... the comma at the end prevented your access.

Note that Comcast's Internet AUP ( https://www.xfinity.com/Corporate/Customers/Policies/HighSpeedInternetAUP ) states:
