I delete the ones that show up.

Are you perhaps referring to email addresses that show up in your address book because of spam?

No, when I go to settings - accounts, I found unknown email addresses and delete them. Haven't got any new ones for the past week.

@user_7ikevp How are seeing unauthorized email addresses being added to your account? We have not allowed customers to add new email addresses through their Xfinity ID as of June 2024.

I sign in to my comcast email account, click on ID and Security. Along with my email address under 'comcast email' is another email address @ outlool.com under 'personal email'. That is the one I would like to delete but no provision to do so. Don't know how it got there and don't know how to get rid of it. However, I did have this address in my email under settings. account and was able to delete it there.

user_7ikevp Got it! Do you have another personal email address to change it to? We recommend a personal email address as a backup to your Comcast email address.

Tried changing it to another email address. Each time I get a message 'linked to an active account'. Tried several addresses, same message.

Oh no, user_7ikevp! Would you be open to creating a new email address to test linking it? This could help confirm whether the issue is related to an existing account or something else.

I can set up another email address, but how do I get xxxx@outlook.com to link? I left click on the address in my account and get 'open link to new tab', 'open link to new window', 'open link to private window', save link as'.  Is this how I would be able to link it? And how would it confirm the account. Don't understand why I just can't delete it, if I am suppose to be able to maintain it.

This also happened to my account.  I did not previously have a personal email address listed but the hackers added one they created (outlook email).  I was able to delete that and add my other valid personal email.  The hackers also created mail forwarding rules to have their fraudulent phishing email replies forwarded to this outlook email.  They also had mail filters set up.  I deleted all of these and the mail forwarding settings yesterday after I did a password reset.    The next day the hackers were still able to access my comcast email and revert these changes.  I had to delete them all over again today.

The hackers were also still able to create and send emails from my comcast email today because I can see the drafts in the draft folder.  How, AFTER a password reset can these hackers still access my acct??

Xfinitiy Security should be able to force log out any device AFTER a password reset.  I would think this is normal minimum security feature?

Hello, @user_rkchelp Xfinity Email users will see an added security checkbox in their Xfinity Email settings that allows them to enable or disable access to third-party email clients. Allowing access by third-party email clients (e.g., Outlook, Google, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.), could expose the customer’s Xfinity ID and password to fraud and other risks, including the potential for external programs to read, download and delete emails on the customer’s behalf.

Initially, the setting will be checked by default and won’t impact the user experience for those customers who are currently using third-party email clients. If the customer decides to uncheck the box in their email security settings, third-party email clients will no longer have access to their Xfinity Email.
