Unable to setup email on outlook

I am trying to setup my comcast.net email on my outlook. I am getting an invalid username/password error. I changed my password and tried. I am still getting the same error message.

@user_q4083w Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! Prior to attempting to set up the email through Outlook, had you gone into your Xfinity email via our webmail client and enabled third party access? This link will walk you through the steps to turn that on.

If that has been done, are you following the steps in this link to set up your Outlook?

@XfinityBillie​ I am not an expert in all the vernacular so I could use some human help in getting up to speed.  FYI for the last few years I've used Outlook 2021 with incoming port 998 and outgoing port (I don't remember and cannot get to that screen since I unsuccessfully tried changing the ports).  Can someone please walk me thru the necessary steps?  I haven't been able to send or receive mail since July 23.

user_54jof4 the first thing I would do is make sure you can sign into your Comcast email account with your current credentials. Especially if you just reset your password. You can use this link to test your email and password. https://www.xfinity.com/email
