unable to add comcast email account to Kindle Fire

I have been having issues with Comcast email on my new Kindle Fire.  I added my email account months ago and it worked fine with initial setup. Recently it stopped sending emails  with sent emails going to Outbox  with message that outgoing setting were incorrect. I received all emails fine.   I reset all settings per Comcast instructions multiple times and finally deleted the account and tried to add it back.  I now get the message that " message from your email provider: Email address or password incorrect.  ({AUTH) Authentication failed)" .  I am able to sign in to my account with that email address and password on all other devices and on xfinity site. My Gmail account works fine on my Kindle.  What is the issue with adding back my account ?

I have been having the same exact problem for over 2 months.  It is infuriating.

To add Comcast email to a Kindle Fire, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on WiFi in the Kindle Fire settings.
  2. Search for nearby wireless networks and select "xfinitywifi."
  3. Open the device's web browser to reach the Xfinity WiFi login page.
  4. Enter your Xfinity ID and password, then click "Sign In."
  5. After successful login, you will be directed to the Xfinity home page to browse the Internet.

roots10 Thanks for reaching out with your email and log in issue. I would be happy to look into what is going on with both issues.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
