Unable to access Comcast email account using Outlook/outlook.com/Outlook on iPhone.

I am unable to access my Comcast email account from Outlook, outlook.com and Outlook on my iPhone.  I get variations of this message, ' We couldn't connect to incoming (IMAP) server.  None of the authentication methods supported by Outlook are supported by your server.  For more information contact your email administrator. I have done all the things listed in a previous posting (see below).  I need help.  I have seen references to sending a Direct Message using a button on the top right hand corner of my screen but I don't see any button.

Done all this!

1. Verify Your Email Settings: Double-check that you’ve entered the correct incoming and outgoing mail server settings. These settings can be found on the Xfinity email support page under third-party email setup.

- Incoming Mail Server: imap.comcast.net (Port 993, SSL enabled)
- Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.comcast.net (Port 587, SSL/TLS enabled)

2. Authentication: Ensure that your full email address and password are entered correctly, and make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked for outgoing mail.

3. Clear Cache: If you’ve recently changed your password or made account updates, clear the cache in Outlook before re-adding your account.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, let us know!

user_irj2z8 Thanks for reaching out! You will want to ensure third-party email access is enabled on your account, or you may want to toggle it off, and back on again.

Thanks for the response.  The problem has spontaneously resolved.  Before posting I had already tried toggling third-party email access so that was not the problem.
