Trouble updating email address

Question

Trying to update my preferred email address and remove the one currently there. When I try to enter the new email I wish to use it tells me that it is already attached to an active account. Please help.

user_gvmm2y Was the other email address used for another account you may have been an authorized user on? Have you tried to sign in with that email to see which account is linked with it? If so, you may want to have the account holder remove your user ID or change the contact preferences there to allow the email to be used on your account.
