Todays Dangerous Spam 02-18-2021

Following is the dangerous spam that was delivered to our inbox today.

Ray Charles could see that it is spam.
Why can't Comcast?

That's a serious question. I'm pretty sure I could teach a middle school student to recognize spam like that.

See the From field.
It's a typical user name.
It doesn't even claim to be from Comcast.

See the To field.
Unbelievably it says it is _TO_ Comcast management!

See the distribution field is BCC.
Does Comcast send service related emails to a  BCC field?

Before the syncophants say it's obvious that it's spam, ask yourself this question: Would it fool your elderly grandmother? Answer: Most of them. That's exactly why the spammers do that. It's statistics.

They're even using Comcast's postal return address!
A seeing eye dog wouldn't have let this through.

Why isn't Comcast fixing this obvious problem?

What may be obvious spam to a human is not always necessarily obvious to a spam filtering system.
