Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later Apple Mail

It happened at one place off-and-on at my cabin where the Internet provider there has done this with Apple Mail. Today it's my work email server that is doing this. I have other personal email accounts, and they're not impacted--only Xfinity. Can you help with this?

Greetings, @user_vo4rti! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your IP address, but we are here for your support. Are you having trrouble reaching certain IP addresses from your home internet network, or are external providers saying your home IP address has been blacklisted?

The issue seems to involve external providers. I have a property that uses a different internet system, and when I’m there, my Apple Mail client often temporarily blacklists the IP address. This typically happens on my MacBook, though not on my iPhone. However, during my last visit, the issue occurred on both devices and lasted the entire weekend. On Tuesday, the problem also appeared at my workplace, which is on a different network from Xfinity. When I returned to work on Wednesday, everything was fine and has remained so. At home, everything works perfectly. While I can access my mail through a web browser, I’d prefer not to unless absolutely necessary.

Additionally, I’ve had a recurring issue where some people claim to have emailed me (often bills), but I never receive them. Even after they verify the email address, which is correct, the emails don’t come through. Oddly enough, I did receive a bill from a contractor I’ve had the most difficulty with. I regularly check my spam folder and ensure everything is set up properly, but the issue persists.

user_vo4rti Are you connecting to Xfinity internet while at the cabin? For the email issue, have you checked to see if the emails are missing when you check your email through the web browser? Do you now if the contractor or any others that have sent emails you are not seeing, have they received any notices saying the email was not delivered?
