System Administrator Bounce Message

I sent an email to 12 of my contacts; all on BCC line and received the following message from System Administrator :

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:     Some old some new

      Sent:  4/25/2026 1:10 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

My issue is that no recipients were listed so I have no idea who did or did not receive the email or why.  This type of System Administrator email notification generally tells you why the message was undeliverable; permanent failure, mailbox full, over size limit, etc. but none of that was mentioned.

Thank you @KittyMom for taking the time to reach out about this concern with your recent sent email. This would have happened due to the recipients being on the BCC line. So, when an email is sent, as you mentioned, if not delivered it would name who did not receive it and why, however, since it is on BCC line you would not see the recipient that failed to receive or the reason.

So instead of:

user@domain.com – mailbox full

You get:

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
(no list)

The mail system does not retry or cancel successful deliveries when one fails. We would recommend sending again with a smaller group or individually to check which address was having trouble or what the error was.

But the server knows who it sent that message to. Why couldn't it report that to the sender?
