syncing email ios

none of my iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, Macs) are syncing email.  I stopped at my local Xfinity store and they said "it was above their pay grade".  The email setting and server port are the same on all devices (Server Port 995).  What can I do to update the settings on Comcast.net to make this work?

Mobile devices are usually set up for the IMAP protocol which uses port 993. Port 995 is for the POP protocol.

Are you sure you are using the right protocol/port combination?

I found that protocol too, but can’t figure out how to change it. Do you happen to have instructions?  I’ve tried and it never takes.  Thank you

Using third-party email programs to access your Comcast.net email can potentially expose your Xfinity ID and password to fraud and other risks. We recommend you access your Comcast.net email by going to the Xfinity web portal and clicking Email. But if you prefer using an email program instead, these steps will help.
