switching from comcast. to yahoo

I cannot find my emails.  I cannot figure out how to log in and find them.  
Why did xfinity require me to open a new account.  Is my comcast email address changed?  How does this affect my current email address:  [Edited: "Personal Information"]

Have you migrated to Yahoo! Mail?  If so, you would go here [ https://mail.yahoo.com or  https://login.yahoo.com ] to log in with your @comcast.net credentials.
