Suddenly access to 2 of my email addresses is no longer available through Xfinity email or Outlook.

I had not changed anything.  I suddenly received the error message... "Task synchronizing subscribed folders for_________________@comcast.net; reported error (0x800CCC0E).  Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for ________________@comcast.net.  Error: Cannot connect to the server"

I have set all my accounts to:

Incoming -

Server: IMAP

server name: imap.comcast.net

Security: SSL/TLS

Server port: 993

Outgoing -

Server name: smtp.comcast.net

Connection security: SSL/TLS

Server port: 465

I did NOT change anything in these accounts.  I just suddenly received error messages in Outlook and Xfinity.

The Chatbot is of no help. I have checked all the settings in the articles that it suggests.  It says it will connect me with an agent if I need more assistance, but it fails to do so.

How do I get access to all of my email accounts? And/or access to a person that can help?

On the Secondary accounts when was the last time you logged into the website? [ https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite ]  Besides recently.

I logged in just a few days ago.  Prior to that, it was a few weeks since I regularly use Outlook through my MS Office 365 to manage my email.

Hello, @OtisE. Thanks for reaching our team on Forums regarding the email concerns, have you attempted logging into the email through our website here and are you getting the same error message?

Problem solved! I was finally able to talk to an agent at 1-800-XFINITY.  I simply had to reset my password using xfinity.com/password rather than through the xfinity email app settings.  After resetting, I updated the password in my xfinity email account and in my Outlook accounts and everything seems to work fine.

@OtisE, happy to hear that you were able to access your email with a password reset! Thanks for being part of the Xfinity family and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week. 😊
