how does one disable autocomplete in order to work around the subject line malfunction?

As of this am, the Comcast fix to the EDGE/Email client problem seems to be fixed, so for me, not workaround is needed.
According to Comcast, the real final fix was rolled out to everyone this morning. I am now back to normal.
