Subject line not functional

Starting this am, I cannot type anything into the subject line when composing a new email.  Also, CC and BCC won't let me type anything into those areas as well.  The To: and body of the message will let me enter data.  All was well before this.

Hi All,

Don't forget to try the obvious!!

I've had all the same troubles many other folks have complained about here on Xfinity Community Forum. I did what we've all done since computers began giving us problems......unplug it them plug it back in....problem solved!

Much the same here. When things get updated you need to reboot...a hard boot. SHUTDOWN down your computer completly....wait....then restart. Now the updates have been done and my Comcast email works as it should!

Hope it works for you!

Hi Mark,

Well, I thought all was fixed but I shutdown again and reopened email and it's back to an inopereble Subject line and autofill. I was SURE it worked before because I made entries in all the boxes and everything worked fine.

Also during the same time of this problem, I'm also not able to open a link from the body of any email. I must right click and select "Open link in new tab" then got to the tab to view the link. Have you or anyone else experienced that!!

Thanks,

Dave

Well, now I'm back to not working - it only took 3 hrs to go from working to not working again.

I guess the fix for me was only temporary or there was some other issue with Comcast.

Sounds good in theory but I shut down every night. Nothing changes when I boot in the AM.

My email client that does not work says it is Version 7.10.3-0-78  Does anyone know if this is the latest version?

That's the version I have, which works fine in Firefox, although some users have reported the problem you are having when used with Edge.

So, for the last 2 days my Comcast email is back to normal...all line entries work as they should AND I'm now ablw to click on a link in the body of my email and open it from there. (before I'd need to right click on the link and "open link in new tab")

I've reset my browser to Google Chrome: Select Settings: Apps, Default Apps, Set defaults by apps (in red, last line), select the Google Chrome icon, then hit "Manage",  select all the "Edge apps and change to Google Chrome

As I said, so far so good.

Still not working for me. Do I need to restart my router? Or do something else?

Try deleting all your "History" etc etc and restarting.

Message board could use a tweak to stop sending emails for each and every response in a thread.  One would suffice for the first new message added.
