Spectrum Email on Xfinity Wifi - Third Party Mail Client - Outbound mail stalled in outbox

Spectrum email address having issues with when attempting to send emails through third party clients when on my Xfinity wifi. Spectrum says it is an Xfinity problem. Xfinity says it is a Spectrum problem, both say it could be a 3P client problem. No issues sending mail via the browser. Issue occurs on outlook on my PC or Apple Mail client on my iPhone. I don't believe it is a 3P client but rather the Xfinity & Spectrum/Charter relationship. This issue only happens on this wifi. Doesn't happen for example at coffee shops, hotels, etc.  This is the error code we are receiving on outlook:

Sending' reported error (0x800CCC6F) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) email server has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).  The server responded: 554 p-impout003.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp 73.54.101.0 blocked. Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130'

I believe all of the IMAP settings are configured correctly such as the ports. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@user_5f452f Are you a Spectrum customer or a Comcast customer?  If you're no longer a Spectrum customer, does Spectrum allow you to keep your Spectrum email address?

Please see https://www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1130'

Error code AUP#Out-1130 says this:

The IP address you’re trying to connect from has an issue with the Domain Name System. Spectrum requires a full circle DNS for emails to be allowed through. Verify the IP you’re connecting from, and check the IP address to ensure a reverse DNS entry exists for the IP. If the IP address is a Spectrum-provided email address, contact us

Since you're using a third party email client:

Please check this post to see if it applies to you.
Just to add, it's not clear why you're trying to send an email with a Spectrum ID and smtp server credentials from a Comcast server.  You need to send from a Comcast server with Comcast credentials.
You don't really give us enough information to understand exactly what you're doing.

Good morning @user_5f452f and thank you for reaching out to our Digital Care Team on our forums with your email issues, that is definitely strange and we are happy to look further into this to see if we can determine where the issue is coming from. How long have you been experiencing this issue? Was Spectrum able to provide any additional details or information on what might be causing this issue?

Hi, @user_89b3ec sorry to hear you are having these troubles as well. Did you read the reply from our amazing expert up above @Again?

Are you a current Spectrum or Xfinity customer? Are you receiving the same error as the OP posted?

I no longer work for Comcast.

I am an xfinity customer. When my in-laws visit they can not send email from their spectrum accounts when they are connected to my wifi. This has been going on since at least August of 2021.

I have the same problem. I have an Xfinity account and a Spectrum account. Use Outlook for mail. I can receive mail in my Spectrum account, but I can’t send or reply through that account while connected to my Comcast Wifi. I can send from most other providers ( Gmail, Verizon, etc).

Can you send and receive mail when signed in at their webmail? Also, are you getting an error message? Thanks

I no longer work for Comcast.

I have had this problem too for quite some time. When I’m on spectrum WiFi, it will not send xfinity emails (and when it does, they sit in the outbox for a very long time). It mostly happens on Apple devices (iPhone, iPad) and I use  email, through the mail app. It’s driving me crazy.

Good morning,

Checking our logs it shows a small amount of connection timeouts and transaction abandonment. In short, it means that the connection wasn't stable or the email program decided to stop sending mid-transaction. Are you having similar issues when accessing via our website on xfinity.com? or is this isolated to just the apple devices?
