Spammed email

Certain emails are spammed that are not spam.  I cannot find a "not spam."  So I tried to move to the in folder and it does not show up.  How do I unspam messages that are not spam?

Those directions do not work on the Xfinity Connect webmail page - right clicking does no bring up a choice to mark as not Spam, and there's no "Click the Not Spam button at the top of the page." icon shown anywhere either. I just found an email from my stockbroker in my Spam folder - this is a MAJOR problem! Because it was trapped in the webmail spam folder my PC email app never downloaded it, not even into the "Junk email" spam folder my email client uses.

The directions actually do work on the webmail page, when you don't open the email.  Highlight the unopened mail in the Inbox or Spam folder and right click and you'll see the menu.  In the Spam folder when you highlight an email you'll see the icon for marking Not spam.

Right clicking worked for me with a legitimate opened email that I marked as spam just to test it.

@Indigo

If you haven't deleted it yet, what happens when you right click on the spam below it? I'm curious if it's any different with true spam.

This is what I get when I right click on a non-spam email in the webmail spam folder

What version is your email? Click the settings gear, then About.

I get the exact same set of choices when right clicking on real spam.

Open the email and in the header click on the "More" ellipse (three lines).  Do you then see the "Not spam" option?

AHA! That worked - opening the spam and clicking on "more actions" shows the "not spam" option - a little counterintuitive and possibly not safe - I _never_ open spam, hackers can hide malicious code within images, but perhaps images are turned off by default and that option can't be changed for email in the spam folder? I had already set up my inbox to allow images to show when I opened email.

Ok, part 1 is done, but still have a problem - I never access my email via the Xfinity Connect website - it doesn't always load, a different issue (see **** below) - I always use my PC email client because I have multiple folders set up for different people, online orders, financial accounts, etc. going back to 2005 - there's no easy and reliable way to transfer the contents of those folders to a different email client because of the different file structures used in other clients (trust me, I've tried!). So if the Xfinity Connect server that polls for incoming mail sends something to my webmail Spam folder I'll never know - and that's a definite problem as I mentioned above with the trapped stockbroker email. I have my PC email set to check for new mail every 5 minutes and the webmail set to check for email every 30 minutes, but because of timing issues there can be instances where the webmail checks in between the time my PC checks. Example - desktop email checks the server at 11:03 am (actual polling time will vary every time I reboot or close the PC email client) - the table below shows the timing problem and I can't think of a work-around:

webmailPC
11.0011.03
 11.08
 11.13
 11.18
 11.23
 11.28
11.30<== webmail polls in between PC poll
 11.33

**** I have problems accessing the Comcast DNS servers frequently, and it's not my PC, I checked things in the Windows Event Viewer and can see error messages at almost once a day, sometimes several per day, don't know what to do about this either:
