Spam filter keeps blocking legitimate email sender

The Spam email filter is filtering mail that is not Spam from an important specific sender that sends me email alerts. I have tried marking the emails not as Spam several times, but the emails are immediately moved back into the Spam folder. I tried changing the advanced email setting to not forward any emails to Spam, but it is still moving emails from this sender to the Spam folder.  I have also tried creating an email filter rule to keep any messages from this sender and move it to the Inbox, but this did not work either.

FYI - The issue has been resolved.  It was my Android email client app that had automatically setup a blocked sender rule without my knowledge.

Hey there, @sac16! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on Xfinity Forums. I am very sorry to hear about the experience with the email. How are you accessing your email? Are you using a 3rd party mail access? Please let us know.

Thank you so much for clarifying that for us, @sac16! Do you have any other email filters setup aside from the attempts that you did to get the emails out of the spam folder? Can you confirm following steps here? If so, can you follow the steps here mark it as a good sender? Please let us know if that helps.

Hi @XfinityAdrienne - I checked overnight to see if any other email has been filtered into the spam folder and can confirm that ONLY email from this particular sender is now being forwarded there.  I can confirm the following:

  1. This sender is in my address book as a contact and the exact email address is listed
  2. Yesterday, I had the setting to override the security filter to allow spam to go to my inbox.  Somehow this sender is still being forwarded there but NOT any other email (even legit spam).
  3. I do not have any email filter rules currently setup

Something on the server/back-end is causing this sender to be sent to SPAM, even overriding the setting to allow spam.  When I try to move these messages to my inbox, they are IMMEDIATELY moved back into spam automatically.

Thank you for clarifying those details, @sac16. It is definitely unusual for messages you manually moved to the inbox to immediately go back to the spam folder. I don't think I've encountered that one before. Out of curiosity, are you able to send messages to this address without any issues, or do you get a bounce back if you try?

I don't think it accepts emails because it is only used to send alerts.  It's from my brokerage company - the address is [Edited: "Personal Information].  It is still doing it... I got another one 4 minutes ago and it went straight to spam even with the override rule enabled.
