Spam emails
Lately i have been receiving a lot of spam emails. This morning I had 37, seriously??? We shouldn't have to change our email address. All appropriate filters are on. I surf the web incognito. Had this problems a couple years ago. it got better on it's own but looks like it's back again. I have too many accounts tied to my email, not about to change it. I don't mind occasionally getting spam emails but this is an excessive amount and not to mention annoying!!

Thank you for contacting us though our forums. I understand how frustrating it is to get spam emails as I get a lot everyday too! Here are some easy steps to Report Spam Emails.
When reporting spam emails, it is critical that you send us the email headers. Please do not forward the spam email. Forwarding the email will remove the original headers.
Report a spam email sent to your https://comca.st/38Sorcu email account
Webmail Users
Select the message you wish to report as spam.
Click the "Spam" button in the right-hand corner of the webmail console.
Email Client Users (Windows Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.)
Select the message you wish to report as spam.
Forward the spam message as an attachment to missed-spam@comcast.net.

There isn't much you can do beyond what you have already done. FWIW, surfing 'incognito' really doesn't lessen your chances of getting spam emails. You stated that you have 'many accounts' tied to your email, and many of them, including reputable companies, share their email database, or even sell it. Some will allow you to opt out, others not so much. I know that it can be overwhelming at times, but you just have to deal with it the best you can. I have periods of time when the number of spam emails I receive grows, but it will subside again. There does not appear to be a pattern.

Totally agree. We had this problem for a long time and it finally calmed down last year but its back with a vengeance. I get dozens every morning and then many more every couple of hours and it getting worse and worse.
Comcast .....Not a filter in the world would take care of this. And before its suggested.....I am NOT going to restrict my emails to only those people I specify . I live in the real world and get lots of legit emails I want and need to see including e-bills. Some spam is bound to come in but this is an avalanche.
And to @XfinityDena: If did what you said to do to report spam...thats all I would be doing all day as there are so many of them these days. Comcast has slipped somewhere and needs to fix it please

I don't work for Comcast; but as someone with a background in IT, i can assure you that there is not much that can be done to control spam emails. No company has a solution for it, because there isn't one. There are no algorithms that would effectively filter only spam emails. The best you can do it set filters, and just let whatever you are using for your email client do what it can to filter out what it can. I understand that it is a bother, but it really doesn't constitute harassment. Yes, it's a pain, but it is like so many other things we just have to put up with in order to live in a connected society.

I agree it is much worse than normal. Just got over 60 spam messages yesterday, and many dozens per day recently. This compares with maybe a couple a day is the past. Something has gone terrible wrong in the Comcast SPAM prevention program.

@marks09281 I got 31 in my junk folder this morning and 20 made it through to my inbox. This is getting ridiculous. I don't see anything that indicates that Comcast has even recognized that there is a problem. They don't read this forum like they used to.

I have not seen any increase in spam, so i suspect there is something else going on. To be honest, I see less spam with my comcast email that I do with my other emails; still I have not seen any increase/change in the number of spam emails I get on any of my email accounts.
