Someone has taken over my email

someone has taken over my email and is sending out spam. I have changed the password and deleted the auto-forward and signature blocks that were being used for the spam. When I try to compose an email, someone else's name shows up in the From block. What else do I need to do?

@user_2a0a9e You can change the From field in a Compose window.  Click on the down arrow and then on Edit names to choose the name you want.

If you don't already have it you might consider starting 2 Factor Authorization.

And, you also might want to scan your computer for any viruses.

Hello, @user_2a0a9e! If you continue to have issues, or you are not able to regain control of your email, you can also reach out to our Customer Security Assurance Department at abuse@comcast.net or 1.888.565.4329. I hope this helps.
