Solution to Unable to connect to Comcast email
I found a number of conversations on this but never found a solution and the ones I found were closed to new comments -- hopefully this will help someone. My behavior is in Outlook, I would open it up, and it would fail to connect to my Comcast account asking me for my credentials. I would put in the proper credentials but just keep bouncing back. After working on it for some time, I realized that my VPN was connecting to a node some 800 or so miles away. When I turned off the VPN or when I connected to a local node, no problems. I have no idea why this is. Perhaps the mail servers exist regionally and aren't sync'd up?
I guess the bottom line is if I need to travel, I will have to connect to a VPN to a node that is close to my actual residence :/
Both nodes are within the US.

Distance was probably not the problem. VPN's have lots of legitimate uses, but even good ones are a magnet for spammers and scammers whose activities "poison" the VPN's IPs. Using a VPN, especially for email, is likely to always be iffy.

Hello user_2vpizj thank you so much for adding your experience to help others here via our Xfinity Forums! It sounds like this behavior only occurs when accessing Xfinity email via Outlook or Outlook Web Access, is that correct? Are you able to sign in to Xfinity Email using the Xfinity Connect Center?

I was hoping your solution didn’t work for me. Anyone else have this problem?
