Serviceability Request for a new ADU at an existing residential property.

Hello,

I am an existing Xfinity customer in San Jose, CA, and I am currently building a new Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on my residential property.

I am NOT requesting a new internet subscription or a separate account at this time.

I need assistance coordinating the installation of the underground telecommunications infrastructure to make the ADU ready for future Xfinity internet service.

All utilities in my neighborhood are underground. My contractor is currently working on the ADU, and I would like to coordinate with Comcast before the construction and landscaping are completed.

Specifically, I need:

1. An evaluation of the existing Comcast underground distribution infrastructure and the nearest connection point.

2. Information about the required conduit/pathway from the existing Comcast infrastructure to the ADU.

3. Coordination with your local Construction / Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team to determine whether Comcast needs to install an underground cable or other infrastructure.

4. Confirmation of the requirements, responsibilities, and any costs associated with preparing the ADU for future service.

I am looking for an infrastructure/construction evaluation only, not activation of a new internet account.

Could you please open a Serviceability Request and escalate this to the appropriate local construction team?

If this request needs to be handled by another department, please provide the name of that department and the ticket number.
