Sending emails from Outlook using comcast.net stopped working due to DMARC policy enforcement? (can still receive email)
Earlier today, I tried to send emails using the Outlook client for Windows, but they consistently failed to send, with an error code of 0x800CCC0F ("The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or internet service provider (ISP)."). I then tried using my Android phone (using the BlueMail client) and got a different error with additional information: "The message format is invalid. Please check and resend. 552 5.2.0 DMARC Policy Enforcement."
Although I'm using comcast.net, I have a custom domain registered through GoDaddy that I use for email addresses for me and my family. This is a mail setup that has been working for years but just stopped working today. Could it be something to do with SPF/DKIM/DMARC records not set up properly?

Similar problem here.
I also have a domain from GoDaddy, and when using it as "sent from" email using the Comcast servers, it now fails with a DMARC error. It worked fine for years until a few days ago, iPhone, too. Other domains where I have an address work fine in "sent from" such as Gmail. (Apple Mail fwiw)
I also suspect it is just DNS settings for our domains at GoDaddy for DMARC, SPF and DKIM. But the first GoDaddy chat agent said easy, he'll just create a DMARC item in my DNS and after 24 hours for propagation, it'll all be good. It did not work, so I chatted again, and the 2nd agent said since I only had email forwarding on my domain, I had to subscribe to their email service.
We do have the ability to edit, add and delete our DNS files at GoDaddy, but I'm not sure exactly what to try.

Welcome to the community forums, and thanks for reaching out, user_ssm91! To rule it out, are you able to send emails without an issue when logging in directly to the Xfinity Email site?
