Security check message: "Add your email address"
Can someone tell me how to stop the security check messages? There is one for adding personal mobile phone number, too. The solution is on this forum but it's now archived and we can't see it anymore. Lost count how many times I set up a free non-Comcast account so I could fill this in, but think having so many accounts open actually decreases my online security.
Thanks in advance.

You can't stop the messages, but there are workarounds.
When you get to that screen, click on the word Xfinity just above where it says secure your account. That will take you to the main Xfinity page. From there click on the envelope and it'll go to your email.
A second option is to reenter the URL, https://connect.xfinity.com, or https://connect.xfinity.com/appsuite on the secure your account page. When you click into your address bar, it might already be in the address bar history to click and you won't have to retype it.
In the future, if Xfinity makes two-step verification mandatory, these will no longer work.

This is a hack. It's fake. Comcast already knows your email address. Also, if you only had one email address (the comcast one), you wouldn't be able to see any email.

Also, they already have an alternate phone number right?

Thanks for the reply. When I added alternate emails to my accounts before, they show up under the Xfinity profile/setting, so it's not a hack. Annoying process, though.

Thank you for the reply. Strangely, the message isn't appearing now, but it'll be back...it always comes back. I saved your suggestions in my tech folder to try out then.

Thank you. This is a big help! We didn't want to give work email addresses or get locked out of Comcast.
