Search options in Xfinity web email are broken, redundant and/or unclear

2023 June 20th

Hello,

    The 1st option when searching in Xfinity web email is broken.  Or perhaps it is just redundant and confusing.

    The last option is unclear.

    Please see the attached image for more details.  It shows an example of the options that are shown when a user searches for the word "octopus" in their email.

    Please forward this to the Xfinity web email development team so they can can rectify it.

Thanks!

@XfinityJoe

Thanks for your reply, Joe.

But I'm very experienced with searching email and nothing there that I didn't already know nor that addresses the issues I am trying to report.

I very much hope you will not let this drop and hope that you will forward these issues to the Xfinity web email development team as I requested.

If you are unable to report these issues, please ask your manager to do so.

Thanks,

Kurt

... The 1st option when searching in Xfinity web email is broken ...

Are the messages you are looking for in the Spam or Trash folders? You may find that Search doesn't find emails in those folders when you search All Folders. If so and you want to search Spam and Trash as well, you might need to specify them individually instead of All Folders. For me, "All Folders" appears to mean "All Except the Spam and Trash Folders".
