Resetting secondary email passwords

All of my comcast emails have been working perfectly until today when i was asked to reset a password.   I went into my primary account and tried to reset.  I get a “sorry, something went wrong message”.   How do i get the password reset?

Hi, thanks.   When I do that, I am asked for a phone number to verify the account.   After I enter the phone number, it says please work with your primary account holder.  It says there is not an eligible phone number associated with the account.   I then log in with my primary account which is no problem.   Where do i go from there?   I can see all my secondary accounts in the email section including the account i want to do a password reset for.   When i go to accounts/contact section, i get the “sorry, something went wrong …” error

Further details…when I click “account and identity”, i get a “sorry, something unexpected happened.”   The same message show when i click “update account info”.    I am not even sure where the password reset section is located.   When i go to the email section, i see all of the secondary emails..

Gotcha! If you're trying to reset the password for a secondary profile, try following these steps:

  1. Sign in to xfinity.com as the Primary user.
  2. Click on the Account icon and select **Account and Identity**.
  3. Find the user whose password you want to change.
  4. Click on **Change Password** in the Xfinity ID section.
  5. Verify your identity via the Xfinity app or a code sent through email/text.
  6. Enter a new password and confirm it, then click **Save**.


After changing the password, the secondary profile should add a mobile number or non-Xfinity email for future resets. Let me know if this works for you!

Just to confirm, you're receiving that error message even when signed in under specifically the primary ID?
