Recovery Emails / Phone Numbers

If it is so important for our Emails to have a recovery email / phone attached to it...... why can't I have the same recovery email / phone attached to several accounts?   I use different emails for various things but can only put the phone number on ONE of the accounts - how many phone numbers do you think I have???????   How many non-comcast emails do I need to have to use as recovery???  C'mon Xfinity - you can do better than this!!

And absolutely NO ONE has been able to help me with a password reset.  Terrible Customer Service!

I asked this same question yesterday to the security agent who assisted me in getting our secondary accounts updated.  It's ridiculous!

Totally makes no sense!!  On one of my emails, I made a typo in phone number and now it won't let me remove that number...course it's pending to be verified.  It will let me change the number, but when I put the correct number in - it's associated to another account!!

I've been with Comcast from the mid '90s and it used to be secondary emails where just that. Extra email accounts tied to the primary account.

This all changed a while back when Xfinity decided to make email accounts associated with User Profiles which made them all unique. Guess they figured each person in the family would only have one User Account and email through them.

They need to go back to an email just being an email and stop trying to make it equal to a profile on a social media site. We all have several email accounts to separate activities in our lives.
