user_ytf717 Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Community forums. Oh no, I'm so sorry you're having this trouble with your Xfinity email! It's incredibly frustrating when you can't access your email, especially when you're sure you've deleted messages. I understand how annoying this must be, and I want to help you get this fixed.

Let's walk through some steps together to get your email working again. Sometimes, even though we think we've deleted everything, there are a few things we can double-check:

  1. The Trash Can Trick: The most common reason for this is that even though you deleted emails, they're still hanging out in your "Deleted Items" or "Trash" folder. Think of it like a recycle bin for your emails. You need to empty that folder completely. Sometimes there's even a second step, like a button that says "Empty Trash Now." Make sure you do both!

  2. Hidden Emails: Just to be super sure, let's quickly peek in other folders like "Sent," "Drafts," "Spam," or any folders you've made yourself. Sometimes big emails or attachments can hide out there.

  3. Big Attachments: Even if you deleted the email, sometimes the large attachment that was with it is still taking up space. If you remember sending or receiving any emails with really big files, those might be the problem, even if they're in the trash. Try deleting those attachments permanently.

  4. Webmail vs. Your Phone/Computer: Are you checking your email on the Xfinity website (like on a computer) or on your phone or tablet using an app? Sometimes, the deleted emails don't sync perfectly between the website and your devices. Try logging into your Xfinity email directly on the website to make absolutely sure the trash is empty there.

If you've tried all of these and you're still having trouble, please let me know.  Our team has some tools on our end that can help us see what's going on with your account and help get this fixed for you.

We're here to help, and we'll get this sorted out!
