Question about syncing Outlook and Xfinity email online
It seems that the folders and emails that I thought I had within Outlook on my laptop or desktop are not present in the online email folders at xfinity.com. Is there any guidance in using Outlook with Xfinity online email.
If the online email does not sync completely with the folders and their contents on your laptop or desktop, which is the master?
Is the online email and folders the master or do they only reside on the respective computers? I understand that the online account can only hold 10 Gb, but it seems that previously (maybe several years ago) something changed such that all folders on my local computers are not mirrored on the Xfinity server(s).
Can someone explain that, and whether a change occurred or not? Also, if you have a recommended SOP with working with a local email client like Outlook, it would be great to see that. I understand that I can/could have archived folders as PST files so that they would not be purged as I approached 100% of 10 Gb quota, but I really didn't have much or any warning.
Thanks very much for any help or advice you can offer.

Hi, @tjwaeghe. Thanks for your great questions about using Xfinity email and Outlook. This article explains the difference between the IMAP and POP settings. IMAP will keep your emails synchronized across devices. This article shows how to configure Outlook 365 for Xfinity email. If you have a different version of Outlook let me know and I will get different instructions. I am also seeing some help from Microsoft that shows to ensure your files are set up for IMAP in the Outlook settings. Please let us know if this fixes the problem or if you have additional questions. We are happy to help.

I have the same problem and I don't see anyone helping. I need to move to a new machine on the OLD machine has all the new folders. the exported file creates the same faulty set the xfinity website contains. Many missing folders. what do I do? I even tried to export/import specific files. that doesn't. that coder didn't test his work.
