Printing email issue

Good morning,

Our office has been a Comcast customer  for at least 10 years  and have always used Comcast/Xfinity as our main email without problem. Last week I went to print an email and  the email header printed on one page and the body printed on a separate page. 50 percent of our emails are printing like this. How can I fix this issue?

Thank you,

Nancy

And one more interesting item .... my xfinity emails print perfectly fine when I send them from my cell phone!  It's only when I send them to my printer from my desktop computer that the first page prints the header only and then skips to page 2 for the body of the email to print.  I'm using an HP PRinter and a Dell Computer.  And up until about 4 weeks ago, everything printed just fine from the desktop.

Did you try printing from a different browser?

Thanks!  How would I change the browser?  I'm sorry to ask such a basic question.  I'm not even sure which browser Xfinity email defaults to on my computer.  I'm using MIcrosoft Edge.

Despite examining numerous alternatives, we've never been able to completely eliminate this issue. However, it seems to be sporadic, and lately has occurred with much less frequency.  I surmise (without any basis whatsoever) that it's related either to the formatting of the email itself, or the sender's email provider, but that's just a guess.

Not using Chrome didn't help.

The only solution for me was downloading Firefox and using that to access my Xfinity email.

Now it prints properly.

I tried the three dots,  changing to Bing and all the other solutions which I understood. The only way I got my Xfinity emails to print properly (i.e. not on the second page of the printout) is to switch to Firefox. Now my emails print properly.

I am also dismayed at the lack of ability to contact Xfinity for support in this matter.

I totally agree with your comments regarding contacting xfinity tech support on this issue.  They were totally useless, and I could barely understand the person that I was speaking with.  After reading me a bunch of "canned" lines from a manual, he gave me the telephone numbers to call Dell and HP.  Very, very frustrating!!  And the problem still exists as of today when I try to print emails.

The only solution I've found is to go on my iphone, access my xfinity email account, and print the emails from my iphone.  Crazy.

Hi, @VinceMel! I am sorry to learn that we have made you feel this way. We want to truly help with a solution. We appreciate you greatly for your patience on this. I am happy to hear that you are able to print the emails from your phone at this time. Were you able to contact your printer manufacture to see if they could provide you with any additional information?

This problem is not resolved.  I am still having problems printing emails that the header prints on one page and the email on the next.  When I tried some of these solutions posted, the options did not appear for me.  Please someone help, I am getting very frustrated and Comcast is not paying for my paper!

I solved the problem of printing on the second page. I switched to Firefox when I use Xfinity email and have not had a problem since. (Google Chrome and Bing were not effective- I tried them also).

That's not a solution, it's a work-around. It was also previously posted. I guess that's ok if you want to switch browsers, and try to transfer all of you bookmarks just to print an email, or maybe open firefox and load your email every time the printing issue occurs. Looks like we need to get those people who landed on Mars to solve this one.

Hi morrismaggie. Apologies you are still having printing issues using your printer and computer. Have you tried printing from the Firefox web browser?

I agree that we need a solution, not a workaround.  Comcast needs to deal with this asap.

I did download Firefox and it did print correctly but it is a pain to open another browser just to print Comcast emails.  This is only a workaround, not a solution.  We need Comcast to address this issue so emails print correctly in Chrome and all other browsers.

I am having the same issue. Wasting so much paper because the emails print header on one page, body on another and footer on third page. very annoying!

You can try a different browser, or a third party email client.
