Printing email issue
Good morning,
Our office has been a Comcast customer for at least 10 years and have always used Comcast/Xfinity as our main email without problem. Last week I went to print an email and the email header printed on one page and the body printed on a separate page. 50 percent of our emails are printing like this. How can I fix this issue?
Thank you,
Nancy

You are correct.
1. Use the three dots/print (Email) Header 1st page. body on 2nd
2. Use right click: Header 1st page. body on 2nd
3. Use the three dots/system dialog (Google Chrome): All on 1 page
4. Use the print icon in webmail: Header 1st page. body on 2nd
For me anyhow, That's the problem I was having until I tried the GC print option.

Did you check your printer settings? Are you using webmail or an email client?

Hi Nancy -
I have a client that has run into the same issue when using Google Chrome. When we tried using the Firefox web browser we were able to get the emails to print correctly. I suspect there may have been a recent change in either the Xfinity web based email client or in Google Chrome.

We use Webmail and yes, I have checked the printer settings. I believe Google Chrome may be the culprit. Thank you!

So is there any setting on Chrome to correct the issue? I don't want to change my browser.

Try using the Google Chrome print control. I just tried it and it solved my problem.

Hi Nancy -
Do you happen to remember what the specific setting in the Google Chrome Print Control settings worked for you? I tried unchecking and checking the boxes next to headers and footers and background graphics as well as playing with different margin sizes but was still having problems with just the header appearing on the first page.
Thanks again,
-Rob

Yes, that works. Strange, it won't format correctly using the comcast printer icon, but it does using the Chrome menu. Thanks.

Hi Rob,
I just clicked the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner (Google Chrome) where your bookmarks, downloads, settings are and used the print option there. It has been printing the problem emails fine for me thus far.

On further attempts printing from the Chrome menu ratrher than the comcast icon, I found the results inconsistent. and on email strings, it seems to want to print only the most recent email.

I don't use Chrome except for test purposes like in this thread, but I want to ask all of you to do a test for me so I will know the answer, or at least have some ideas, if you don't mind using a bit of ink.
In Chrome I'd like for you to print an email four times:
I don't need to see the emails, but please tell me the results. I will tell you that I got three print outs exactly the same and one different.
Thanks!

Using the print icon on the xfinity webmail, or the pull down three lines, header on page 1, then the balance on other pages.
Using the three dots menu on chrome, or right clicking in the email itself, prints just page 1 not the entire chain, with the header on the first page.
Right clicking on the email list in the xfinity in box, the header is separated on the first page.
But the results seem to inconsistent. Some emails are being formatted correctly, others no.

And one more interesting item .... my xfinity emails print perfectly fine when I send them from my cell phone! It's only when I send them to my printer from my desktop computer that the first page prints the header only and then skips to page 2 for the body of the email to print. I'm using an HP PRinter and a Dell Computer. And up until about 4 weeks ago, everything printed just fine from the desktop.
