preventing spam
When I mark an email as spam why does it keep returning, over and over and over again! Why doesn't the Xfinity email system recognize what I've marked as Spam and prevent it from ever being delivered to my inbox? What good does it do if I mark something as Spam if Xfinity's system doesn't help me prevent it from ever being delivered?

Spam filtering systems mostly operate the same way. They run based on a number of factors, including users marking things as spam or not spam. If you mark an email as spam, there may be others in the same email system marking it as not spam. Also, it usually takes time for a system to react to such markings.
