PDF Option "Open In Browser" not showing in e-mails with pdf attachements

PDF Option "Open In Browser" not showing in e-mails with pdf attachements.  It now only says Attachment  View   Download

I only want to open in browser like in the past.

Is there a setting I can change to make it appear?

Thanks,

Kim

I have tried in Google Chrome & In Firefox.  I also uninsalled and reinstalled the adobe pdf reader.  It did work briefly, but when went back into the e-mail for a second time, the same thing happend again.

I have also found that if I send to my gmail account I can open it, but I need to use the comcast cast account.

It is not a dowload speed issue, because I went to my inlaws house brought my lapot and opened the email from there using their wifi and it did the same thing.

It is definately some sort of security setting somewhere.

Thanks for your assistance.

I use Firefox, but not Chrome.

  • In FF, click on Tools--->Options
  • Under General scroll down to Applications
  • Next to Portable Document Format (PDF) click on Always Ask
  • From the drop down click on Preview in Firefox or however you want to view PDFs.

I imagine there is a setting somewhat similar in Chrome.

Were you able to find a solution to this?  I am having the same black screen problem with .xlsx documents.

I can no longer "open in browser" either, using comcast email.

Not yet.  My IT guy is still looking into it.  It is either a proble with a Windows update or a Comcast Update.  Luckily this guys dad works for Comcast so, maybe we can actually get it fixed.  I will post how we corrected the situation once it's happend.  Fingers crossed!
